This page describes Motus Mountain View Hotels’ policies for guests using our website and guest portal. It is provided for transparency and is not a substitute for independent legal advice. We may update it from time to time; the “Last updated” date reflects the latest revision.
1. Data fiduciary and contact
Motus Mountain View Hotels is the data fiduciary for personal data processed in connection with this website and related guest services.

For privacy requests or grievances, write to us at the email above with the subject line “Privacy request” and enough detail for us to verify and respond.
2. What we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may process:
- Account data: name, email address, and a hashed password.
- Booking data: stay dates, room category, occupancy (adult and child counts), special requests, booking reference, and payment status.
- Payment metadata: amounts, currency, and provider references (for example Razorpay order, payment or invoice identifiers). Card or UPI credentials are collected by the payment provider, not stored in full by Motus.
- Contact enquiries: name, phone number, optional email, and message content.
- Dining reservations: name, phone number, date, time and guest count.
- Technical data needed to run the service: for example authentication tokens stored in your browser’s local storage when you sign in.
- Communications we send you about bookings, payment reminders or enquiry replies (for example via our email provider).
3. Why we use your data
We use personal data to:
- Create and manage guest accounts and authenticate you securely.
- Process bookings, payments, invoices and cancellations.
- Respond to contact forms, WhatsApp/phone enquiries and dining reservation requests.
- Operate, secure and improve the website and guest portal.
- Comply with legal obligations applicable to hotels in India (including guest registration where required).
6. Retention
We keep booking, payment and account records for as long as needed to fulfil the stay, handle refunds or disputes, and meet accounting or legal retention requirements. Enquiry and dining reservation records are kept while useful for follow-up and operations, then deleted or archived when no longer required.
You may ask us to delete account data where we are not required to retain it; some booking history may need to be retained for legitimate business or legal reasons.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable Indian law (including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, as it applies), you may request access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal data, and you may raise a grievance with us using the contact details above.
We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. If you have an account, you can also update basic profile details by contacting us.
8. Children
Guest accounts are intended for adults making bookings. Bookings may include child occupancy counts for room planning; we do not knowingly create online accounts for children. Parents or guardians should supervise any use of our site by minors.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including hashed passwords and HTTPS for the website. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; please use a strong unique password for your Motus account.
10. Updates
We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes notice of the revised policy for future interactions.
